Welcome to Purple Book 1. The vowels are a, e, i, o, u. The rest of the letters are called Consonants. In the next few pages you will put a Consonant with a vowel to make one “sound”. We call this a “Sound Set”. The letters blend together to make one sound. The vowels are hardest and most important to learn so we will review them before you go on. Make sure you know these sounds. |
